Celebrating Service and Connection

At Wellington Bay’s Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon, approximately 50 residents were honored for their ongoing volunteer service across the community. The event theme, The Art of Volunteering, highlighted the creativity, care, and dedication residents bring to daily life at Wellington Bay.

Honorees included members of the Resident Advisory Council, as well as committees supporting wellness, housekeeping, life enrichment, culinary, library, marketing initiatives and more. Residents who lead clubs or teach classes in investment, knitting, technology, wine appreciation, travel, and more, were also recognized, along with those who contribute written resident spotlights that share community stories.

Life Enrichment Director Julie Ann Smolansky shared, “Volunteering offers residents purpose, social connection, use of skills, joy in giving back, and passion for their causes.”

The event highlighted Wellington Bay residents’ strong culture of service.
